Model United Nations
This project was about the United Nations and how they operate. The two issues we had were the North Korea conflict and the Israel/Palestine conflict. I enjoyed learning about these two subject but I personally understood the North Korea conflict the best. I wish over all we had done that one because I understood the conflict and knew my countries perspective very well. We had a 2 hour exhibition debate about the Israel Palestine conflict and our class ended up going with the resolution that went back to the 1967 boarders. On this page you will find Spain's perspective on this issue and how we saw this conflict.
In this box you will find the link to a word doc. that was Spain's Policy Paper on the North Korea subject.

Reflection
1. What would you tell another student if they asked why the MUN project was important?
First I would let them know how for filling it is when you finish it. While making both Policy Papers and
Reflections you start to feel covered in work but you just have to push through it to get a good grade. It
is hard to use professional language after being used to talking a certain way.
2. Think of this project overall- which habit of heart and mind were you most proud of using during the conference?
I feel like everyone is going to put this one but I personally showed perspective with this certain project.
Showing this habit is hard in papers but with this project it forced you to see it from your countries point of
view and the countries that are involved in the conflict.
3. What was the greatest challenge you faced in the project and how did you work through it?
I had trouble creating professional sentences and using that language in my speech. I worked through it by
looking at the actual United Nations website and also looking at the papers made by others in my class.
4. What was the most interesting speech, resolution, amendment, or comments by one of the delegates.
The most interesting speech I heard was Derek’s who was representing Iran. He
was very professional and I could tell he knew his countries perspective along
with the issue at hand.
